Agglomeration Integrated With Spray Drying

In this type of agglomeration, a Vibro Fluid Bed Dryer (VFBD) is attached in succession to the Spray Dryer. The spray dried powder is fed to the VFBD at high moisture which helps agglomeration. In some cases, the fines generated in the Spray Dryer and Fluid Bed Dryer are fed back to the Spray Dryer through a recycle loop. Adjustment of various operating parameters and control on the material movement in the dryer gives the right product.

Rewet Agglomeration

Rewet Agglomeration involves fluidization of the fine powder in air. The powder is rewetted by small liquid droplets prior to fluidization. The material handling during the agglomeration process itself is specially controlled according to required specifications. In certain cases, the wetting liquid along with special additives is sprayed directly in the fluidized bed.
